Message Board is contingent on your consent. DinosaurTales.com intends to respect and actively protect the privacy of visitors' information.
We want you to know that no personal information collected by DinosaurTales.com is sold or otherwise provided to any third party. All information is collected directly from the member upon registration. The message board uses "cookies" to store your username, password, and default viewing for topics. (A "cookie" is a file containing information that a website transfers to your computer.) Storing the username and password allows you to use the message board without typing in this information every time. If you do not wish cookies to be used, you have the option to remove them, by clicking on the "preferences" option at the top of the main message board, then following the instructions that are displayed.
The Tell Us Your Tale! Registration form permits collection of information for use of the message board. Only two or three items are required, an id / name, and the member's e-mail address. The parent's e-mail address is required only if the member is under 13. All other information is optional.
Required items: Member's name. Member's e-mail address, and parent's e-mail address, if the applicant is under 13. We will use this address to send the member's new password upon registration approval. A password is required before any member can post to our message board. We would also like to be able to notify members of major events at DinosaurTales.com, such as new dinosaur finds and new features on our site. If you do not wish to receive such notices, please indicate so on the Permission form and we will accommodate your request.
The following information is optional, and not required for use of our site. This information is helpful to other members, who may want to meet friends with similar interests, or make a friend in another part of the country (or the world!). We may choose to view the information below to tailor DinosaurTales.com to its participants' interests.

When someone registers who is under the age of 13, a link to the Parental Permission form is sent to the parent or guardian's e-mail address. Before we can authorize the member for posting, this form should be filled out and signed by the parent or guardian and sent to us.
We can accept e-mail permissions, but we will follow up with either a phone call or letter to confirm your requests. Please provide at least 2 ways for us to contact you. By clicking on "profile" on our message board (go to Tell Us Your Tale! to bring up the message board. "profile" will be an option on the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Then enter the member's id/password), you can see the information that was entered for registration. If you choose to have any portion of your child's information removed, then use the information supplied below to contact us, and we will comply with your request.
Please send your name and at least two means of contacting you (e-mail reply, phone number, or postal address), so that we may confirm your wishes.
