DinosaurTales.com is a forum for young creative writers. In other words, we are here to showcase YOU and your cool stories. If you post a story to the web site, it may be chosen for publication in our new magazine, DinosaurTales.com. The first issue is due out fall of 2001! Of course we like dinosaurs, but your stories don't have to be about dinosaurs. Check out the Tell Us Your Tale! message board to see other stories.

We let you tell us your tale in a variety of ways. The forum called Ongoing Stories allows you to build on a story already in progress by adding one paragraph at a time. See what's already in the works!

If you have a story that you would like to work on, check out our Edited Stories section. Chances are, your story can be improved. We work with you to correct spellign, I mean, spelling, and other errors. This process is called "editing," and most grownups go through some version of it every day. Certainly professional writers do. We eventually plan to publish selected stories in our upcoming magazine, DinosaurTales.com! Show your friends! Your mom will be proud! Go to the Tell Us Your Tale! message board and get registered!

There are rules, of course.

Your story has to be appropriate for all audiences in order for us to publish it on the internet or in the DinosaurTales.com magazine. That means, no foul language, no violence, and nothing "dirty." Ask your parents if you aren't sure.

If you do send us a story with material we cannot use, we will return the story to you, telling you what's wrong. You have the opportunity to change it and send it back to us for approval. This process is called "editing."

Pictures are welcome additions. Do you like to draw? Do you have a friend that can illustrate your story? If we have room for it, we'll use it!

Also provide some contact information for you. We would like to provide a brief "bio" to introduce new authors to the magazine's audience, and we may want to ask you some questions, with your parents' permission, of course.

Some ideas: What's your favorite dinosaur? Do you collect fossils? Have you ever hunted for your own fossils? Did you find any? Did you ever wish you had a dinosaur for a pet? Did you ever wish you could go back in time and see what they were like? Do you like mysteries? Adventures? History? Poetry? Don't waste another minute! Check it out!
